The Follett Hand Scanner 6800 is a PS/2 device which is used to scan books being checked out or checked in to a library.

There are two PS/2 connectors on the end a dongle block which is at the end of the scanner's coiled cable. One is a female connector, the other is a male connector.

To use the scanner plug the male PS/2 connector into the computer's PS/2 keyboard jack. If the computer has a PS/2 keyboard that is plugged into the scanner's female PS/2 connector.
